Hi, Terri --

Do your hummers like the Sweet Peas? I planted some a year or so ago beneath my wisteria vine . . . they didn't do well, but I think I got them into the ground too late that year. I'll be checking out our several local nurseries this week to see what they have in flowering vines that may already be potted. I'm also going to get the potting soil for those two planters. I had such good luck with my "potpourri" pots last year with the way I mixed two types of soil. I used one-half of the "soilless" mix and one-half of the kind of soil that has the time-release fertilizer granules in it. That makes a superb mix for pots -- I didn't need to fertilize them all summer long. My hubby sets up those wonderful "drip system" watering hoses for all of our containers . . . this is a lifesaver when it comes to watering. So my container flowers are pretty much care-free all summer.

By the way, our Sweet Peas are not perennials around here, so I'll treat mine as annuals and "fillers" in my arbor planters. (-;
