it is a wood finish stereo, and I plan on antiquing it with paint. My only problem is what to do with the sides, right now they are cloth covered speakers. a hideous 70's color blend of burnt orange and black. hee hee. trying to think of some way to cover that. what should I do?

Well thanks for writing, I do love a challenge. Actually I do have a very good suggestion for you. If the fabric is in good condition, you can just paint it with RIT dye, right on the speakers. Use the dye directly from the bottle, this works great! Set the dye with a blow dryer, by drying the fabric completely when you have finished. If the fabric needs replacing, you could tape off the wood on the speaker, use spray glue and just attach a new fabric directly over the old one. It will look great, and be sure to let us know how it turns out!

Where can I find the stereo fabric to recover the speakers? We've checked fabric stores and they don't have it.
