That site looks very thorough, with due consideration of the child's age, and with good distinctions between normal and stressed behaviors.

There is another aspect besides knowledge, and that is just being there for your child. As Peter Yarrow put it: "Will it help if I stay very near? I am here."

Sometimes a final step - whether minutes or years later - is to accept comfort in return from these same children. (See last verse of song.) That can be a test of humility; and a beautiful moment.

Meanwhile, seek the knowledge, offer your presence, follow your faith, do what you can.
