My ten year old Shep-Mix was on Rimadyl for about 6 months last year, while it seemed that her pain was abated, she began having severe stomach problems. When we found blood in her stool and vomit we discontinued its use. It took another two months to get her healthy again. She is fine now and we treat her arthritis with heat packs and massage (especially when it's cold out)and Nikki loves it! I understand that a lot of dogs have no problem using this "miracle drug" but I won't subject another animal with it's use.
