Here are a few events to keep the gardener going through winter in the Pacific Northwest: Northwest Flower and Garden Show
February 4-8, 1998 Washington State Convention Center
9th and Pike St., Downtown Seattle
"During our tenth anniversary, we're pulling out all the stops - with five acres of tantalizing ideas, including 100 free seminars and demonstrations. This year, we've taken special care to help ensure you're able to see the renowned experts that make this show so special. Also, stop by any of 50 educational booths and get up close and personal with noted garden authorities for tips, hints, and know-how you just can't get anywhere else." Hellebore Garden Open
February 21 at Heronswood Nursery
"This special Saturday Garden Open will feature seminars with David Culp, hellebore breeder extraordinaire, of Sunny Border Nursery in Connecticut. Dave will highlight many of the hellebore species and hybrids found in our garden, discuss his principles for successful hellebore hybridizing, and demonstrate how you can propagate hellebores for your garden." If you know of any other events happening in our PNW region post here or email it to me and I will be glad to post it for you. Especially looking for events in western British Columbia and Oregon. It's time to get out in the garden or at least dream about it! Debra Teachout-Teashon
