A fact often unheeded is that victims need inspiration and proof that their unhappiness, which has been caused by trauma and/or abuse will end. The month of April was proclaimed Sexual Assault Month. During this time, a number of rape-survivors joined together to promote awareness of this horrid violation. Sometimes, simply being amongst the company of others that have gone through a similar experience can allow a person to feel the healing and happiness of those that have indeed survived the trauma of sexual assault… hope comes in all sorts of packages.
