A person is held not responsible for his criminal actions if s/he cannot tell right from wrong ("lacks substantial capacity either to appreciate the criminality (wrongfulness) of his conduct" - diminished capacity), did not intend to act the way he did (absent "mens rea") and/or could not control his behavior ("irresistible impulse"). These handicaps are often associated with "mental disease or defect" or "mental retardation".

The longest time period during the month is the two weeks between ovulation and hopeful positive pregnancy test or start of the next cycle. Try to get through this time period without feeling like you are going crazy. It takes a little bit of patience and some inventive strategies or plans, but you can survive without climbing aboard the obsession train.

The Roebling Bridge across the Delaware -- connecting the past and present

The oldest existing wire cable suspension bridge in the nation -- the Delaware Aqueduct, or Roebling Bridge, as it is now known -- connects the small towns of Minisink Ford, N.Y., and Lackawaxen, P.A., on opposite sides of the Delaware River. John A. Roebling, future engineer for the Brooklyn Bridge, designed this suspension aqueduct and supervised its construction in 1848 as part of the 108-mile-long Delaware and Hudson Canal -- an engineering wonder of its day. Standing on the bridge takes you back to a bygone era when canal boats floated high above this picturesque river.
