Saving Money & Wasting Less

© Linda Anne Edwards

Introduction

Almost everyone could save money if they wanted to. But why try? Isn't it all too hard?

If you don't have a lot of money, the answer to 'why try?' is obvious: you have to save, or at least spend less and get out of debt. But even if you can afford to waste money, it is still a good idea to spend less and save more for many reasons. And as you will see in this course it's not only very easy to save a lot of money in almost every area of your life, you can also live a healthier, happier life, and have more fun at the same time.

The suggestions in this course will not only save you money, but they will also, in many cases, help to save the environment as well. For example, expensive cleaning products are far more toxic and unhealthy to you and to the environment than the much cheaper and safer alternatives you will learn about.

Saving money may be an old-fashioned idea in these times of previously unheard of personal debt levels, but if we're to live sustainably, and save money in the process, we need to rediscover the largely forgotten art of frugality, regardless of how much money we can afford to throw away. Wasting money so often equates to wasting Earth's resources.

There's only one planet we can live on, and we're trashing it by our wasteful ways.
