Training Barrel Horses

Introduction

In the sport of barrel racing, it’s common to see out of control, crazy horses underneath their riders, and this doesn’t have to be the case to win. In fact, the well-trained, intelligent, quiet horse will outlast that wild one and create more wins for his rider.

This course will coach students in developing a solid, trusting relationship with their horse that will lead to victory in the arena and a lot more fun in the competition of barrel racing.

You can definitely have it all in your barrel horse—-speed, intelligence, and control. After applying methods learned in "Training the Perfect Barrel Horse", you will have created a respect bond between you and your horse. This and the training you’ve applied will enable him to be alert yet calm and intelligent, with controlled speed. It is absolutely possible, and this course will help you achieve it.

The objectives and lessons in this course are designed for the long-term, to help you have a smart, successful barrel horse for many years to come—-and that after your horse’s years in the arena, there will follow many more healthy, productive years. The end of a horse’s barrel career shouldn’t have to end with an injury; he should remain a versatile, well-trained horse for years to come.
