Christianity for Kids

Introduction

Hello! Welcome to this course. “Christianity for Kids” is designed for children ages 6-8. This course will require some parental involvement, so it should be fun, as well as educational. The course is intended to introduce the basics of the Christian faith. With our busy lives today, it is not always easy to find time to make learning about Christianity fun and creative, so following this course should make this task a breeze.

Teaching children about the Christian faith, such as learning about God, the Bible, their prayer life, and Jesus, is a monumental task when you think about what is being taught. Not only are they learning about Christianity, but by applying what they learn, you send them on a lifelong journey of eternal life with God. This is a life that is filled with peace of mind, encouragement, and confidence. Isn’t that what we all want? This course gives you the opportunity to start your child on this path while they are young and able to soak in this wonderful truth. And, it is a matter that I do not take lightly. Being the mother of three boys, ages 6, 8, and 10, I feel the importance of teaching Christianity daily, encouraging my children to get to know God personally. God charges us, as parents, in Proverbs 22:6 – “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” I don’t know about you, but I take this very seriously, and it is my goal to reach as many children for God’s Kingdom, as He would allow it.

The best part of this course is that you, as the parent, will play an instrumental role in teaching your children the basics of Christianity. You will be able to read exciting Bible stories to your child (or have them read to you). You and your child will wrestle with thought-provoking questions that you can discuss together. And, your child will see you as the one he looks up to for advice about being a Christian. There are plenty of heroes throughout the Bible, but you will be the source your child turns to when he has questions about Christianity. Are you ready for the challenge?

The course will be divided into four separate subjects:

Who is God?
What is the Bible?
What is Prayer?
Who is Jesus?

Within each subject there will be chances to play games, make crafts, color pictures, engage in discussion questions, and much more! If there is one thing you will see through this course, it is that learning about Christianity is fun, as well as life-changing.

• Plus, there will be chances to learn memory verses all along the way
