PowerPoint 101
Introduction
Do you still conduct your presentations and meetings with a poster board and/or overhead materials? Do you want to spice up your presentation with engaging text, appealing images, and snappy animation? What about showing your audience links to WebPages on the Internet and your actual word and excel files? You can do all of this and much more with the Microsoft PowerPoint computer application.
Maybe you have just tinkered with PowerPoint in the past or you are completely new to the application. Either way, The Power of PowerPoint will teach such basics as creating a new presentation to more intermediate features like links to external files. Each lesson will provide step-by-step instructions to accomplish common tasks.
Specifically, by the end of this course you will be able to:
- Work with design templates, AutoContent Wizard, and online/office assistant help features.
- Work with text fonts, placement, size, and text effects.
- Insert and modify images.
- Create links within your presentation, links to Internet resources, and links to external files such as word and excel files.
- Pump up your presentation with animation and media features.
- Add speaker notes to your presentation and implement slide transitions.
- Produce a “portable” presentation you can view anywhere.
* Note: This course will reference PowerPoint version 2000. However, the features of other PowerPoint versions are very similar.
