Introduction

I am a professional archaeologist now. However, my dream of becoming an archaeologist began with watching television programs and wishing I could join a dig. Through a friend of a friend, I found out about a local volunteer program. I immediately joined. Since that dig, I have volunteered and worked at countless other excavations and completed various field courses. Now, I would like to share my experience with you.

In this course, you will learn a little about archaeology. You will learn what archaeology is and some basic field methods. You will also find out what to expect on an archaeological excavation and how to join a dig. In short, this course will teach you everything you need to know in order to go on an archaeological vacation.
