Introduction
The Wallpaper & Border course was designed to inform interested people on the ins and outs of the art of hanging wallpaper and borders. A lot of folks have the idea that wallpapering is a difficult task and one that is very hard to learn. True, it takes a lot of patience not only to learn the art, but to practice it as well, but there is nothing hard about wallpaper hanging.
The course will instruct you on the general knowledge of wallpaper and borders. It will teach you how to measure your rooms and how to purchase the amount of wallpaper or borders that you will need to do your home improvements or re-decorating.
You will be informed about the different tools and paraphernalia that will be necessary to carry out the different aspects of the hanging of wallpaper and borders, as well as the removal of wallpaper and borders. You will learn about murals and their applications, as well as wallpaper liner that will allow you to install wallpaper over walls that you may not have thought could be wallpapered.
The course includes a tutorial that explains wall preparation for the installation of wallpaper and borders that covers wall repairing, priming, and wall sizing on new construction as well as older buildings. It also includes a section that will clue you in on some insider tips and tricks that the professionals use to get them out of trouble and to make their work easier.
