Walt Disney World

By Beth Bowers

Introduction

For non-Mouse lovers, Walt Disney World is the Magic Kingdom. Sometimes they’ll even know that Epcot exists, as well, and another park or two they can’t quite remember. But Walt Disney World has grown to something more than a few parks with pokey rides for kids – it is a complete resort destination, with options for sports freaks, animal nuts, and even those seeking a romantic moment. Planning a trip there? Find out what you may be missing!

In this course, you will discover the wonders Walt Disney World (WDW) holds outside the theme park boundaries, and some of the lesser-known thrills available within these same parks.

You’ll learn about the Wide World of Sports (makes a great enticer for the reluctant hubby who doesn’t quite share your Disney enthusiasm) and other sports-related activities available (thought you had to go to California to learn how to surf – think again), discover what goes on behind the scenes during some backstage tours, find out how to sign up to hug a dolphin, and get the reservation number to reserve your romantic cruise on the lake while watching the stupendous Illuminations laser and fireworks show. Not a boat person? Then how about a romantic carriage ride, bundled under blankets when the weather chills? Or maybe just a soothing massage in the Couples Room at the Grand Floridian….

And let’s not forget the nightlife! The parks may close early in the off season, but that doesn’t mean YOU have to pack it in early! There’s a whole ‘nother side to Disney – the West Side – and there’s a New Year’s Eve celebration every single night of the year at Pleasure Island. Or perhaps you'd rather just stroll down the Boardwalk to JellyRolls for some hilarious piano entertainment. Have your kids with you? Not to worry – there’s Disney-sitting available so you can have some quality time together, just the two of you.

You will also learn when and how to make reservations (some of these activities go fast), requirements for some of the more “adult” options, and whether park tickets are required. Some of these activities are very inexpensive (yes, that is possible at WDW), and all of them can be a blast! Take your next Disney trip to a new level – and learn why so many people end up “hooked on the Mouse”!
