Clinical Psychology
Clinical Psychology focuses on assessment and treatment of psychiatric disorders, mental illness and “abnormal” behavior. It also includes Behavioral Medicine which examines how thoughts, feelings and behavior influence our health in positive and negative ways. Examples of topics include: Psychosis, Substance Use and Abuse, Bipolar Disorder, Phobias, Sexual and Gender Identity Disorders, Personality Disorders and Realistic Optimism and Health, the Mind-Body Connection among many others.
