Classic Rock Music 70s-90s
Homer Simpson once said, "Everyone knows rock n' roll attained perfection in 1974. It's a scientific fact." The time boundaries might be altered from Simpson's statement, but the concept is certainly applied to "classic rock." Rock music attained a peak of commercial success in the 1970s with bands like Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac and the Rolling Stones appealing to mass audiences.
That allure lives on in the 21st Century with many radio stations devoted to "classic rock." Many classic rock bands still produce new music in the modern world and old recordings surface over time. Whatever the origin, it's all classic rock.
