British Modern Theatre

The London stage is alive with productions of every kind, from Billy Elliot the Musical to modern interpretations of Shakespeare by the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Out of town

However, let's not forget the great entertainment venues of other major cities such as The Sage Gateshead; The Hippodrome, Birmingham; or the Royal Exchange and Palace Theatres in Manchester.

It's not just our major cities that buzz with theatrical performances. Some of our smaller towns, such as Chesham in Buckinghamshire, witness some amazing performances at The Elgiva.

Amateur Productions

And what about the amateur scene? It also thrives with productions by companies such as Kingsbury Amateur Operatic Society (KAOS) in NW London, or Hillingdon Musical Society who produce outstanding shows at the Compass Theatre, Ickenham.
