Participants include such popular restaurants as Cin Cin, Le Bistro Chez Michel and The Irish Heather.

During the event, a three-course dinner will set you back either $15, $25 or $35 (not including beverages, tax and tip), depending on the restaurant. Prices are in Canadian dollars.

To take advantage of this deal, you must pay for your Dine Out Vancouver meal with your Visa card when dining at one of the participating restaurants. But when doing so, you'll receive a contest ballot to enter for a chance to win 52 gift certificates redeemable at participating restaurants. You could also win one of five $100 gift certificates for your choice of entertainment or sporting events from Tickets Tonight.

Even better, many of the participating restaurants accept reservations online via Open Table, which makes a donation to the Citymeals-on-Wheels and Share Our Strength food charities each time a reservation is made.

Dine Out Vancouver runs January 19 to February 4 and is a great chance to taste the best of the city's restaurants.
