One-Hit Wonder

Okay, first, I like this one. I think that any song that can get away with lyrics like:

Started out this morning feeling so polite

I always thought a fish could not be caught who wouldn't bite

But you've got some bait a waitin' and I think I might try nibbling

a little afternoon delight.

Ohmigod, that is hot! How did this little number make it onto the charts, even in the sleazy seventies? Well, it seems as though no one actually bothered to listen to the lyrics of a group of singers who looked like the choir of Born-Again Christian church. Has anyone seen this group perform? I caught an old clip of them once performing on some horrible show and it was not a pleasant sight.

But that is why I like it. Such a blatant reference to fellatio and mid-day sex cannot be dimissed if every light-sounding radio station out there is still including it in their playlists.

Rock on, you terrible punk-rockers-in-disguise, you!
