Perfume Blooper

I was in a meeting once, and a female participant walked in, sat down next to me and glared. "Are you wearing perfume?", she asked. I admitted I was and she told me she was allergic. After I apologized she was a bit kinder, but I was surprised. No one had ever said that before, and I didn't think I was wearing that much. It was also embarassing to be confronted about my grooming habits in a roomful of people. I'm more cautious now about when and how I wear perfume, but when I find a good one, I love the surprise of its scent throughout the day.
