I visited a local salon recently and had some surprisingly common, but bad, experiences.
One, the locker room was practically non-existent, and what lockers were there didn't have keys. They suggested I use the men's area. Hello? I'm a girl, and I'm not there for that kind of attention.
Two, the spa shoes I was supposed to wear were just tossed in a bin after everyone else's use. Ever hear of Athlete's Foot?
Three, the so-called Spa Hostess was talking about the customers in full hearing distance. Tacky.
Four, my masseuse, who has been good in the past, rattled on like Chatty Cathy the whole time. Please, talk to me before or after, but not during.
All in all, not a relaxing salon visit and I probably won't go back. Next.
