Bad Pedicure

For a while, I got regular $25 pedicures at my local "chop shop" (as my sister likes to call them). I was in heaven in the massage chair while Vietnamese words floated around me and my toes got painted brightly red. Then the young pedicurist chopped off a big piece of skin instead of nail and I wound up with a different kind of red. I was still bleeding when I left, and that was the end of my chop shop fling for good.

I got a pedicure yesterday and the technician was talking on her blue tooth, ignored my request not to remove callouses (I need them for dancing)...said OK and as she talked, begin to cut chunks of skin...I ended up with 3 bleeding toes...one where the chunk was not even close to the cuticle...she then wrapped my feet after applying what I thought was lotion (it was "callous remover") and walked off to wax someone's eyebrows. My feet began stinging and burning and my friend noticed that my toes were bleeding). I insisted that she get the bottle of chemical so I could read the ingredients since I am sensitive and allergic to many things. She was annoyed and kept talking on her bluetooth. I had another technician remove the plastic wraps and I tried to rinse my feet in the bath...she then came back and began buffing my callouses (I had specifically told her several times not to do that...she said "it is to remove dead skin cells"...duh...I told her emphatically NO...This morning I awoke with sore red toes and very sensitive feet.
