Beards and a Dozen wasted battles along a river in the alps

Hello, we have posted two new articles.

The first article covers beards (or actually the lack of them) in modern warfare. It used to be that every warrior grew a beard. In today's time more often than not, every warrior has disposable razor in his pocket. The exception to this is Afghanistan. US and Allied troops deployed there now more closely resemble their Civil War era predecessors than anything else.

The second article is on the 12 terrible and tragic battles of the Isonzo. This winding river which ebbs and flows from the Alps to the Adriatic was the scene of an even dozen of the worst battles of the 20th Century.
