Testing New Cat Litters

Before I got my new stud kitty, I had never had any litter box odors at all in my home. Hoochie, however, is one stinky kitty! I really lucked out because he doesn’t spray, but his urine and feces give off the unpleasant scent of spray that quickly fills my house.

I decided to test out some new litters and got one called Dr. Elsey’s Precious Cat. His products are really focused towards kitties with litter box issues. He has products to help attract baby kittens to the litter box, as well as products to help senior and pregnant cats.

I have been using this litter for 4 days, and I must say I am quite pleased. My precious boy’s litter box no longer has odor! My only problem with this litter is that it is a silica type litter, and it does not clump. Even though it says it is safe to not change out a litter box with one cat using it for a month, I can’t stand the thought of the urine, even trapped inside the crystals, is still in my kitty’s box, even though I will change it out completely after a week.

So I’m still on the hunt for the perfect kitty litter and am going to try the World’s Best Cat Litter when I change his box out in a few days. After I try out a few more litters, I will do a review of them all, but for those of you who have kitties with litter box issues, I do recommend checking out Dr. Elsey’s Precious Cat products.
