Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen

He discovered X-rays and received the first Nobel Prize in Physics in 1901.

In 1895, while teaching at Wuerzburg University, he discovered X-rays, fow which he was awarded the first Nobel Prize in Physics in 1901.

Roentgen also worked on the heats of gases, in particular, the heat conductivity of crystals and electricity.
