John Steinbeck and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

American writers John Steinbeck and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow have the same birthday today, February 27.

John Steinbeck (February 27, 1902 - December 20, 1968) was an American novelist and short-story writer famous for many novels including Of Mice and Men and his masterpiece, The Grapes of Wrath.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (February 27, 1807 - March 24, 1882) was an American poet, the first American to be honoured with a bust in the Poets' Corner of Westminster Abbey. He is famous for many poems including "The Song of Hiawatha" and "Evangeline."
