Benazir Bhutto Assassinated

Benazir Bhutto, leader of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and former prime minister of Pakistan, has been assassinated in a suicide attack. She was the first woman prime minister of an Islamic country and a high profiled political leader. She wrote a book Daughter of Destiny: An Autobiography.
Elected the first female prime minister of Pakistan in 1988, Benazir Bhutto was born into a wealthy family and educated in Oxford and Harvard. Benazir Bhutto was the daughter of former prime minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Pakistan's first democratically elected prime minister, executed after a military coup, and hanged in 1979.
