Lost Dog = Happy Ending

Today on my semi-regular half hour walk around the neighborhood, I found a lost dog, a cocker spaniel with a pink collar and dog tags. At first, I wasn't totally sure if the dog was lost because, unfortunately, many of my neighbors think nothing of letting their dogs loose to go do their business in someone else's yard.

Long, and not that interesting of a story short, as I was chasing her around the neighborhood, she finally found her way home and her owner opened the front door to let her in. End of story, and luckily, it was a happy ending.

I have to wonder, though, if I hadn't seen her, how far she would have made her way from home.
