LCCTA Rookie Roundup Results

Siblings Win Boys’ 10s & Girls’14s

Perhaps the biggest news was the brother and sister duo of Jacob (Boys’ 10s) and Jordan Stefko (Girls’ 14s) of Miromar Lakes, who took titles in their respective divisions. Jacob beat Bradley Pinosky 8-1 in his final, and Jordan squeaked through with a tough 9-7 victory over Kayla Cheslosky of North Fort Myers.

Girls’ 10s the Largest Draw

In the largest of the draws, the Girls’ 10s, Dovile Gucmeris of Fort Myers took home the winner’s trophy when Madison Wise, also of Fort Myers had to retire at 0-5. The 18 participants in this division easily led all age groups.

Girls’ & Boys’ 12s

Claudia Lenart of Naples edged Annie Amundsen of Fort Myers 8-6 in the Girls’ 12s, while Quentin Armeda of Alva beat Tyler Martin of Fort Myers in a close 9-7 battle to capture the Boys’ 12s.

Boys’ 14s

Quade Marinell and Matthew Harrison, both of Cape Coral, battled for the Boys’14s title, with Marinell emerging with an 8-4 victory.

Boys’ & Girls’ 16s

In the 16s division, Jackson Long of Fort Myers beat Jonathan Rodriguez of Cape Coral 8-6 in the final of the Boys, and in the Girls, Lynnette Clavell of Lehigh Acres wore down Bianca Williams of Fort Myers 8-5, 8-6 in a two-hour battle. It was the first tournament for both players.
