Its permanent collection includes ancient art, medieval art, rare manuscripts, decorative objects, Asian art, and Old Master paintings. Every major trend in French painting during the 19th century is represented by one or more works in the Walters’ collection. Renovated galleries showcase works by Monet, Pissarro, Manet, Degas, Gérôme, Daumier, Delacroix and Corot, among others. -- www.thewalters.org
