Go Hiking and Enjoy the Outdoors in the Northwest, Before the Rain and Snow Begin!

One thing that characterizes and links all of the Northwest states, of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana and Alaska is the advancing cooler, wetter weather of the fall and winter. For the coastal and valley areas of the West, residents feel the cooler weather arriving right now, with hints of wet weather to come. In the alpine and mountain areas, residences know that September and October can mean snow.

So, get outside and enjoy the last of summer weather before the cool, wet weather hits. The Northwest abounds with hiking trails and recreational opportunities. Some of my favorite hiking trails are listed below:

Also, remember that September and October are some of the best months to visit the Oregon and Washington coasts, as the best weather of the year happens during this time. Read the article listed here for more information on visiting the Oregon Coast during the fall months.
