The Northwest region of the United States is a great place to spot fall foliage. Although the NE may be more well-known for its striking fall color, the NW provides adequate opportunities for viewing autumn foliage. Many mountainous regions of the Northwest have already begun to showcase bright colors. Check out the Weather Channel's website for fall foliage information and tracking.
One of the best ways to see fall foliage is by car. Short day trips provide enough time to see some beautiful sights. Some of the most spectacular spots may be along water such as rivers or lakes, where reflections add to the amazing view.
