Writer's block can strike at any moment, and it's often not when we're at a loss for ideas but at a loss of confidence in our ideas. In short, we're scared what we write will suck. And that's okay; fear is a part of life, just not a part of writing.
Timidness does not translate well into words, unless you're describing a character or object's timidness, but nobody wants to read a writer who's scared of what he's writing. How on earth will a reader believe what you write if you yourself don't believe in what you write?
Kick that writer's block with some creative writing prompts and inspiring writing quotes. Learn how to be more creative and observant of the stories that surround you.
Be persistent in your observations. Question stuff. Eavesdrop on conversations. Be nosy. Be nosy until some small nugget of information leads you into a refreshing and forceful waterfall of ideas. That waterfall makes it all worthwhile and rewarding.
Check out some of these useful articles if you're at a loss for ideas whether you need an inspirational kick in the butt or just a place to rest and recharge while on this long writing journey.
And if reading becomes as tiresome as staring at a blank page, take a total break and do something fun. Getting away from the pressure of writing will likely open your senses while you experience life. And experiencing life and the characters (I mean people) around you will inspire your writing. If not today, some day. Just always be thankful for one thing: the fact that you love words.
