Thoughts About Ragtime Era

I just returned from a production of Ragtime -- the musical based on E.L. Doctorow's novel about the race and class struggles at the turn of the century. In addition to having a haunting score, I just fell in love with the look and feel of the sets and costumes.

As you know, I write from my own experience, and now I'm obsessed with trying to incorporate Ragtime into a party theme. I would LOVE any thoughts you may have on t hematic elements and activities to add to this party.

Two heads are better than one, and I'm hoping that you can add some collaboration (with appropriate credit :-) ) on this idea.
