If you'd like to host a holiday open house this December, but don't have a great concept to make your event meaningful, borrow one of these!
Food Drive: ask your guests to bring non-perishable donations for your local food pantry
Toys for Tots: same idea as Food Drive option, but guests bring wrapped gifts for Toys for Tots
Cookie Exchange: Betty Crocker idea from the 1960s revisited in the new millenium. Use your computer to print out recipes to share with your guests
Knit Pickers: have your friends bring their latest projects to work on as you all enjoy some warm cider and camaraderie.
Gift Wrap Bonanza: everyone brings 2 rolls of paper, their own scissors and tape, and you provide the ribbon. Take a holiday chore and turn it into a fun afternoon.
Use your imagination to couple any holiday task, seasonal charity, or community activity with your own Open House. Have fun!
