Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas

I know that Halloween is today, but it's not too early to start thinking about the other upcoming holidays. You know that the stores are already filled with holiday-themed wrapping paper, Christmas cards and gift baskets. In fact, my local discount chain store (that rhymes with "doll part") has already begun discounting its Thanksgiving merchandise, and it's not even Halloween! We can fight it or we can embrace, but either way, we are forced to deal with the retail onslaught and acceleration of our holidays. So, in an effort to beat the rush, let me be the first to wish you a Happy New Year!
