If you are opening your home to guests, realize that they may be bringing gifts to show their appreciation. One of the most common housewarming gifts is flowers. You can make the acceptance of these housewarming gifts effortless, if you plan ahead.

Have a couple of vases and a pair of scissors or floral shears handy. Assume that you may receive some flowers, plan where you will display them, and have this spot ready for the vase.

Using a housewarming gift during your event is a great way to be gracious to your guests.
