If you want to add class to your dinner party for very little cash, why don't you consider hiring a pianist or a trio? Check with your local high school or college music department, for referrals of students who may be interested. Conversely, try your local music store for suggestions of students who may be for hire.
You create a win/win situation --- you get your live music at discounted starving artist prices, and the young musicians get a gig (and a potential reference) at an early point in their careers.
