Color photographs taken with a process developed by Russian photographer Sergei Prokudin-Gorskii show vivid snapshots of Russian architecture and landscapes. The inspirations of these photos - churches, panoramas, a monastery - barely vary from their modern-day representations. In some ways, Russia is locked in history, and photographs tell a tale of constancy rather than change.
