The miniature model of Moscow that was built to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution has gone the way of many historical artifacts from Eastern Europe. Put on display in California and then in Moscow, it was finally put into storage and and almost discarded. But, as they say: trash to treasure. The starting bid for the miniature Moscow is around $400,000. However, Russia's history is no stranger to high-priced museum-worthy pieces; remember how Faberge Eggs were sold to foriegn collectors after the dismemberment of the monarchy. Now, it's Communist-era reminders that command hefty price tags.
