Kandinsky was not only an artist, but he was a prolific writer as well. At a time when people communicated voraciously through letters, Kandinsky's correspondance certainly must exhibit a unique perspective into his personal life. And that letters never before published in English will appear in a new addition of On the Spiritual in Art means that this perspective will now be available to an English-speaking audience.
Follow Kandinsky's artistic development from Russia to Munich to Paris and get a feel for this Russian artist's contribution to modern art.
