Apple has recalled a series of lithium ion batteries that were sold between October 2004 and May 2005 for their 12" iBook G4, 12" Powerbook G4, and 15" Powerbook G4. The batteries overheat and cause a potential fire hazard for users.
The recall only pertains to batteries with certain serial numbers. If you have one of the affected computers remove your battery from the computer and look for the battery serial model.
Affected batteries include: A1061, A1078, A1079, HQ441 through HQ507, and 3X446 through 3X510.
