I recently purchased a laptop and have started downloading widgets to use is Dashboard. So far, I think my favorite is the rubber chicken widget, where the rubber chicken works like a Magic 8 ball. How many of you use Dashboard? What’s your favorite widget?

Apple announced Friday it's plans to release an 8GB version of it's new iPod Nano (PRODUCT) Red. The 8 GB Nano will be available for $250 and will hold up to 2,000 songs. One great advantage of the new Nano players is their 24 hour battery life. $10 of the proceeds from the purchase of every iPod Nano (PRODUCT) Red goes to support the global fund to help HIV/AIDS in Africa.

Latin music lovers can now buy their favorite music on iTunes. iTunes already sold a good deal of Latin music in it's traditional store and announced today it's launch of a new section of the store dedicated t Latin music. In addition to purchasing Latin music, customers can download Latin TV shows and feature films.

Starting Friday Apple's popular iPod shuffle will be available for purchase worldwide in a new and improved version. The shuffle sports almost 12 hours of battery life, and is only one cubic inch in size. Apples press release describes the new shuffle as "Nearly half the size of the original, the new iPod shuffle is just half a cubic inch in volume, weighs just half an ounce and features a minimal aluminum design with a built-in clip, making it the most wearable iPod ever. The new iPod shuffle contains one gigabyte of flash memory which holds up to 240 songs, and is priced at just $79."

The iPod Shufffle is availiable Friday at most Apple retail stores.

Apple recently announced that some of their video iPods were shipped out of thefactory with the RavMonE.exe virus.

The virus only affects PC computers (not Macs) and is contained only 1% of video iPods purchased after September 12th this year.

If you think you may have one of the affected iPods you can read more about the issue and how to correct it on Apple's website.
