The Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival (also known as Coachella Fest) is an amazing three day alternative music festival that is held annually, during the last week of April at the Empire Polo Fields in Indio, California (which is located in the Coachella Valley, hence the festival’s name).
Attending the iconic festival is one of those once in-a-lifetime surreal experiences, a musical dream come true for Alternative music fans everywhere. The experience of actually being present at the three day alternative music festival and witnessing the entire event live is best described, as being reminiscent of one of Jim Morrison’s many ramblings about the spirituality of “man” being in the desert.
This year’s 2009 Coachella Fest is being held on April 17, 18, and 19. The ticket prices for the concert are as high as ever, costing $269.00 per person, which is only good for the general admittance into the festival for each of the three concert days and does not include boarding or other expenses. However, this year’s awe-inspiring scheduled line-up of musical performers for the concert, help to make the festivals high cost of attendance more than worth it.
Here is a list of a few of my favorite bands, which I would give up both of my arms in a heartbeat to see perform live (not really, but you know what I meant) that are scheduled to perform at the 2009 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival:

4. The Aggrolites

7. (and of course) Ex-Beatle Paul McCartney
Day 2: Saturday (April 18, 2009)
1. Band of Horses
2. Fleet Foxes
3. M.I.A
4. The Killers
5. Thievery Corporation
6. Calexico
Day 3: Sunday (April 19, 2009)
1. Peter, Bjorn, & John
2. The Cure
3. Yeah Yeah Yeah’s
4. The Kills
5. Friendly Fires
6. The Horrors
