Le Carre's Latest Mystery Novel

If, like me, you can't wait until then, Hachette Book Group has made the first chapter available. Click here to read it.

The novel features a Congonese intrepreter of mixed parentage, Bruno "Salvo" Salvador, and his accidental involvement in African politics. We meet Salvo in this first chapter -- a sample that left me wanting to read more.

The Mission Song is le Carre's 20th novel. His earlier work includes The Spy Who Came in from the Cold, Smiley's People, and his most recent Absolute Friends.
