America fell in love with Gretchen Wilson back in 2004 when she became the ultimate "Redneck Woman." Her debut single spent 4 weeks at #1 on the Billboard charts and her "Here For The Party" album has gone four times platinum.
But since then, Gretchen has failed to reach the top of the charts with any of her follow up singles. Her sophomore album "All Jacked Up" did debut at #1 when it was released in 2005.
Gretchen has had successful singles - "Here For the Party" reached #3, and "Homewrecker" reached #2, but that was all off of her first album, and still coat tailing the success of "Redneck Woman."
Since then, "All Jacked Up" peaked at #7, "Politically Uncorrect" stopped at number 23, and in between those songs, "I Don't Feel Like Loving You Today" hit #22 on the charts.
Her latest song, "California Girls" looks to be in trouble and may not reach to top 20 either.
It's Gretchen Wilson, the 2000's version of Billy Ray Cyrus? I guess only the success of the third album will tell.
