"A City Farm is a link between the urban and rural life
City Farms are environmental and agriculture projects where children, young people and adults can daily learn about the urban and rural environments and their inter-relationship with plants and animals, the importance of the seasons and the relationship between these."
The EFCF purpose is:
"To promote the interests and mutual co-operation of Kinderboerderijen, Jeugdboerderijen, Gezinsboerderijen, Fermes d'Enfants, Fermes d'Animation, Jugendfarmen, Aktivspielplätze, City Farms, 4H-Farms or similar organizations that actively promote the equal access and involvement of children, young people and adults through practical experience in a wide range of educational, environmental, recreational, social and economic activities focused around farming, empowering people to improve their own lives and environment in peaceful coexistence."
The public is invited to the 2006 EFCF Conference in Stockholm, Sweden, 13-17 September
