As the last 5 contestants fight for a spot in the final 4, they are all under a lot of pressure and feel they have gotten too close to not win. Eric is feeling the heat from Bob because he is the only blue team member left and needs to make it into the final 4 to represent Bob and the team. Bob tackles him hard this last week, making him pull him on a dolly and hike the same hill he couldn’t make it up on day one at the ranch. Eric is happier, more confident and 112 pounds light though, so he handles it like a pro and is proud of his accomplishments.
Heather is still nursing an injury and she has a squabble about it with Kim when Kim challenges her to do more and out forth her best effort. Kim turns to Kai for support and tells her she is good enough to go all the way. This is both scary and exciting for Kai.
The final challenge is a half triathlon. They are asked to do a 200 yard swim, 5 mile bike and 1.5 mile foot race. The trainers were there to cheer them on. The amazing thing is how these people have bonded. They decided to do it together and when Wylie lagged during the swim, they stopped and waited for him so they could finish as a team. The guys crossed the finish line together with Kai and Heather not far behind. They were all very proud of the accomplishment and at how far they had come in 10 weeks.
Suzi and Matt from last season of Biggest Loser came to the ranch to give the remaining players a pep talk. They talked to them about the pressures of keeping it up in their real lives and how it can be difficult to go home and incorporate what they have learned on the ranch. The transition was tough for them, but they eventually got the hang of it and came to support them as they transition back into their lives.
The last chance workout was rough, as to be expected. Erik worked hard to earn a spot in the final 4. There was a lot of pressure to stay above the yellow line.
The final weigh in showed that Erik could easily be the biggest loser. He lost another 12 pounds this week. Heather and Wylie each lost 7 pounds. Jaron lost 6 and Kai lost 4, putting them both below the yellow line and at risk for being voted out.
Jaron was sent home, mainly because the other contestants chose loyalty as their reason for keeping Kai. Looks like Erik learned his lesson after letting Marty go. So Kai is the 4th member in the finals. They all have one last goodbye to their trainer and a life-size cutout of the old them. Erik gets especially emotional over seeing his old self and is scared to ever get like that again. He thanks bob and gives him all the credit for his amazing 124 pounds loss while on the ranch.
The contestants were then sent home for several months to finish their weight loss goals at home. Next week we will see them as their reunite and the final 4 weigh in for a change to be named the biggest loser and win the $250,000 grand prize.
