Distract Yourself From Food

The best method for cutting back on calories is to simply take your mind off of food. Avoid the kitchen and restaurants. Instead, do something else you enjoy that doesn't revolve around food. Even watching TV can cause cravings by seeing all of the tempting food commercials.

The concept here is simple. Engage in activities that keep your mind and/or body busy. Take a walk outside, write a poem, practice word puzzles, try a new workout video, practice yoga or take a warm bath.

Connect with friends in person, on the pgone or online. Soemtimes a friendly conversation or a note of support is all you need to amke it through to the next meal.

Going to sleep early is another basic tactic you can use to avoid overeating. It isn't important what you do, just as long as it does the trick and your food cravings are relieved.
