Treasure Hunting For Kids

Geocaching is a great way to get kids involved in your weight loss efforts.

It is recommended that kids get 60 minutes of exercise per day and in our technology driven society that is often hard to come by. They key may be finding an activity you can enjoy together as a family.

Geocaching could be just the thing you need to spark their interest. Because there are varying degrees of difficulty, even younger kids can enjoy this type of hiking.

Kids (and adults) tend to forget they are hiking and getting exercise when they are preoccupied with the idea of finding a hidden treasure.

As a family, you may also enjoy putting together a cache of your own, finding a clever hiding spot for it and checking back on it often to see who has visited your cache and what items have been exchanged.
